Kite Aerial Photography

Kite aerial photography (KAP) is a hobby and a type of photography. A camera is lifted using a kite and is triggered either remotely or automatically to take aerial photographs. The camera rigs can range from the extremely simple, consisting of a trigger mechanism with a disposable camera, to complex apparatus using radio control and digital cameras. On some occasions it can be a good alternative to other forms of aerial photography.

The line recommendations come from the general kite info. Not an indication done by me.
A nice 50 kg/100 lb line and a 100 kg/200 lb line combination will cover all the kites.

And if I needed to start all over again what would I buy?
Not a lot to think about:
1. Premier 78″ Rokkaku – Light to moderate wind conditions (80 kg/150 lb)
2. PFK Nighthawk Delta – Fresh to severe wind conditions (50 – 65 kg/100 – 130 lb)
3. ITW Triton – ‘Near no’ to moderate wind conditions (50 kg/100 lb)
4. The Fled – ‘Near no’ to moderate wind conditions (50 – 100 kg/100 – 200 lb)
5. HQ Flow Form 2 – Moderate to fresh wind. (90 kg/180 lb)
This is all I need to have fun in the wind.
In that specific order. :)
These kites are permanent in my kite bag.
And made sessions possible when no other kite could cut it.
